Part of the 2024 welfare project, the two initiatives aim to raise awareness among staff about the importance of well-being in the workplace. One week of physical and functional therapies as well as ad-hoc exercises to promote prevention activities.
Holding true to its mission of promoting well-being and the recovery of the physical health of people, for the “European Week for Safety and Health at Work” (21-25 October) ASA has implemented some targeted initiatives for its collaborators. Marked by social responsibility, with the aim of promoting the value of prevention activities and of “healthy” daily activities, the company from Arcugnano has organised some on-site physiotherapy examinations to assess the musculo-skeletal condition of its staff and to follow this up with a therapeutic path where necessary.
The partner for this project, which falls within the comprehensive 2024 welfare plan of the company that specialises in producing laser and magneto therapies in both the human and veterinarian sectors, is Fisiovan 8.14. Thanks to this mobile physiotherapy clinic, certified by the ASL (Local Health Authority), employees will be able to structure a specific intervention plan after an initial screening of their condition. An intervention which may also involve instrumental therapy entrusted to some ASA devices which the mobile clinic is equipped with.
“The decision to offer this type of service – Giulia Sossella, ASA HR Manager explains – stems from the awareness that in order to work well, you need to feel physically well: thanks to Fisiovan 8.14, it will be possible, where necessary, to start a physical and mental recovery plan, but also to carry out rehabilitation for muscle and skeletal problems as well as for overload and posture pain”.
An incorrect posture represents a problem for an increasing number of activities. Whether these consist in computer work for many hours at a time, sitting in never-ending meetings, but also in moving or lifting a weight, the risk of a negative impact on our back and neck is a tangible one. To trigger a virtuous circle which allows avoiding dangerous spasms, ASA has also set up specific exercises for loosening muscles, in order to avoid contractures or other annoying issues. During the Week for Health, physiotherapist and rehabilitation specialists will organise relaxing exercises for small groups of employees, which can also then be carried out at their desks or during breaks.
“We are sure our collaborators will appreciate these initiatives, which aim to underline that the company is interested in their well-being and in improving the quality of their day in the workplace. Our people are a capital on which we continue to invest in order to also promote an increasingly aware and effective corporate growth”, the HR Manager ends.
A similar assessment was also made by Silvia Bucciarelli, HR Director of the El.En. Group, which ASA has been part of since 2003:
“We are proud that ASA should promote significant awareness-raising activities on the importance of an active and participatory management of health and safety in the workplace. The preventive physiotherapy project directly within the company, of which ASA has been the leader, goes well beyond the simple benefits of traditional welfare. The initiative in fact aims for the psycho-physical well-being of employees, offering tangible support to prevent work-related physical disorders, improve the quality of life and promote mental well-being. Promoting health is not only an ethical choice, but also a winning strategy: a healthy and proactive work environment translates into more serene and motivated people, ensuring they become the driving force of the company's future. In the wake of this virtuous example, El.En. will activate the same project from next year, confirming its commitment to spreading well-being in all the Group's organisations”.
