The acronym ISPRM stands for “International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine”. This is the Congress that ASA – together with our local distributor ItalMedica – took part in, presenting M8, the robot device part of the MLS® family.
Over 1700 doctors from various parts of the world met in the Palacio de Convenciones in Cartagena where the Convention was held, particularly professionals from Central and South America (Mexico, Colombia and Peru).
“The congress – Karla Salazar, ASA Area Manager explains – is greatly esteemed by industry professionals as it presents a full schedule of speeches and an exhibition area showcasing the latest medical devices for diagnostics and rehabilitation. Our M8 received great interest, in particular from rehabilitation physiatrists and doctors, who were present in large numbers”.
The flow towards ASA’s exhibition area was also considerable, both by professionals who operate in the physiotherapy and pain management departments of rehabilitation hospitals and clinics, and by lecturers and researchers who, given their particular attention towards the research carried out by the company, represent a valid connection between the academic world and local public and private healthcare facilities.
Taking part in ISPRM also provided the opportunity for ASA staff to organise the first commercial meeting with the Latin America distributors. The purpose was twofold: to focus on the company and its therapeutic offer for new partners, and to share the results achieved over the last five years and jointly define the strategies to put in place for increasing sales during this year and the subsequent ones for the long-time ones.
“Through a comparison of the activities implemented by some partners and thanks to an open discussion on how to strengthen ASA’s position on the south American market, various development options emerged which we will be at the forefront of over the short-medium period. Our partners’ trust in the company was tangible and its constant investments in innovation, including towards improving training, were greatly appreciated” Jessica Ash, ASA Marketing Department, tells us.
