Il Messaggero: Research Results of "Suture In Space" Revealed

25 October 2024 - Research -

In space, wounds heal more slowly, and recovery is delayed and altered compared to Earth: these are the findings from the “Suture in Space” study.

Lasting seven years from the design through to the analysis of the results, the study was led by Monica Monici from the ASAcampus Joint Laboratory for the Biology of Physical Stress, a collaboration between the Department of Experimental and Clinical Biomedical Sciences at the University of Florence and the Research Division of ASA in Arcugnano (Vicenza). The results were featured in an article on Messaggero.it.
