Education Manager by trade: Giacomo Granozio

Sliding doors not just in the movies, but also at work. Giacomo Granozio knows this well.

Currently 50 years old, he joined ASA in 2013 as an Area Manager and specialised over time in the Asian region, in both the human and veterinary field. Ten years later, having gained a wealth of experience directly in the field, Giacomo has now carved out the role of Education Program Manager, while continuing to be a point of reference for the sales department. A change resulting from an educational path stemming from his own personal desire, but strongly supported and endorsed by the company.

"Being able to acquire more specific and precise skills regarding how our devices work was a personal need of mine, which matured progressively over the years dedicated exclusively to sales. I felt the need to possess tools that would allow me to provide increasingly clear, complete, comprehensible but also scientifically proven information to the people I dealt with. At the same time, I understood the importance of being able to convey to them the extent to which the company was leading the way in Research. Studying had to be the first step, which I took with the support of ASAcampus, our Research division. ASA then gave me the possibility to specialise in certain specific areas by attending two Master’s courses: one that focused on physical therapy and rehabilitation in sports, and the other on wound management and care".

A journey of growth that led Giacomo towards the achievement of new goals.

"The educational side is one of ASA’s strengths, which, together with its high-tech Therapeutic Solutions and constant Research – our beacon and foundation for the development of new protocols and devices – sets it apart from its competitors, making it highly recognisable in the market. The fact that our training is key to our success is confirmed every day by our clients too, who have benefited over the years from our courses, workshops, training sessions and seminars, both on- and offline, which always involve the contribution of national and international professionals of recognised calibre".

The hallmark of the ASA training method is precisely its ability to rely on a network of specialists.

"Our priority, among our many objectives, is to continue expanding this network, increasing the number of people willing to become ASA Trainers. A role that can leverage the research and studies constantly undertaken by our Research division".

So how does one become an ASA Trainer?

There are five golden rules:

  1. a predisposition and passion for studying, focusing in particular on the biological effects of the therapies at cell level;
  2. a willingness to share the knowledge acquired and the skills gained;
  3. the desire and capacity to work in a team with both ASAcampus researchers and the Physicians making up the network of ASA specialists;
  4. the ability to effectively summarise all the information gathered and pass it on to the end customer;
  5. a predisposition for keeping an open mind and seizing new opportunities for development.

"The world of laser therapy still has lots to give; our job is to intercept gaps in the market, intervene with ad hoc, albeit scientifically validated solutions, and provide training tailored to the needs of the client, thus helping to improve the efficacy of their operations” concludes Granozio.
