Federscherma Tv: Hilterapia® functional for treating patellar tendinopathy

05 June 2020 - Corporate -

It is one of the pathologies that frequently affect fencers, so much so that it was the subject of an in-depth analysis during the broadcast of “A bordo pedana” (At the side of the piste) aired by Federscherma TV: patellar tendinopathy is a common inflammation, particularly for sportspeople who constantly stress the joint, causing pain and, sometimes, difficulty in functional recovery.

To eliminate suffering and to ensure a rapid recovery, Hilterapia® is a winner.

This is asserted by Physiotherapist Valentina Rivetti from the Centro Virola (Verolanuova – BS) who has many sportspeople among her patients.

“Patellar tendinopathy – Doctor Rivetti explains – is an issue which tends to become chronic, leading to a thickening of the tendon which is difficult to resolve. There is no therapy more suitable than Hilterapia® to treat it, thanks to its considerable analgesic properties. Moreover, ASA’s therapeutic solution has a notable ablative effect on the tissue itself, by making it less thick. All pluses which add to the possibility it provides of impacting on all phases, from acute to chronic, without any problems”.

Further confirmation of its value is provided by the program hosted by Doctor Antonio Fiore – Physician for FIS (Federazione Italiana Scherma – Italian Fencing Federation) – on the Federscherma television channel.

“Initially, – Doctor Alessandro Pagliaccia, a member of the European Medical Committee, Sports Doctor specialised in Traumatology, explains in an interview for “A bordo pedana” – we act with instrumental means to eliminate pain. This is followed by work on muscle-strengthening, functional recovery and posture. The therapy during the acute phase is instrumental: we have successfully been using Hilterapia® and diathermy for years and these have allowed many athletes to resume training and to compete without lengthy stops. I like to note that we were the first, together with the Mobile Clinic, to equip ourselves with the SH1 portable laser. We took the first prototype of HILT laser to the Olympics in Beijing where it proved to be a godsend in many circumstances. Yesterday as today, we remove pain, reduce the oedema and are able to be very accurate and precise thanks to the dedicated handpiece. Last but not least, Hilterapia® has a wavelength which does not cause any thermal damage to the tissue: an essential element to guarantee safety to those who undergo the treatment”.
